Christmas Jumper Day, Wednesday 20th December 2017

Students and staff wore Christmas Jumpers to help raise funds for the Save the Children Charity.

On the last day of term, Wednesday 20th December, students and staff at ICC came dressed in Christmas jumpers and donated £1.00 to support the charity, Save the Children. Students also arranged an amazing sell out cake sale, from which all the proceeds went to charity.

Prior to the school closing at 1pm, students and staff congregated in the atrium for the end of term of assembly where Mr Corbett reflected on how great ICC has been over the last year.

Mrs Murphy Dunn commented on the very generous nature of ICC students and staff, this has meant that very worthy charities have benefitted from our fund raising activities our college has been involved with such as:

Our sponsored walk we raised £2443.00

Comic relief we raised £1482.00

Children in Need we raised £1276.00

MacMillian Coffee morning raised £250.00

The LRC ran a sponspored reading challenge, with Riley collecting the highest sponsorship of over £100.00 - well done Riley

We donated over 20 Christmas hampers to the Easter Team, a local Charity that helps vulnerable families around Crawley not only at Christmas but all through the year

Today's Christmas Jumper Day we raised £455.63

Well done to everyone who helped, contributed and got in involved with all our fundraising activities.

During the assembly we heard a composition from Hashim, a song performed by Tiger Lily, a band performance from our Sixth Form students and a reading from Tiger Lily, Chloe-Elise, Leanne, Zain, Saas, Roslynn and Cameron.

As the assembly came to an end we said our farewells to staff that are leaving us. Ms Langford who taught English and some Drama this year, Mr Wong who covered ICT lessons throughout the year and finally to Mrs Victor.  Mrs Victor has worked at ICC for 12 years as an English Teacher, Head of Year, Head of Inclusion and as a SENCo.

We wish you all a happy holiday and see you in the New Year, Thursday 4th January.
