Course Overview:
This course is aimed at those who would like to improve their previous performance at GCSE science; whether separate or combined has previously been studied. The course runs for one year and focuses on areas that each individual student needs to work on to ensure they improve their previous grade.
Science has something to offer every student and everyone needs some level of relevant understanding; this course ensures it is accessible to all. Science encourages students to explore, explain, theorise and model in science and develops a critical approach to scientific evidence. The skills acquired in science are transferrable to many different aspects of life and encourage safe practice.

Duration: 1 year
Exam Board: AQA
This course is summative with 6 exams at the end of the year. This is split into 2 biology, 2 chemistry and 2 physics exams.

Science can open doors to all sorts of careers; this course can be used as a stepping stone to a Level 3 course such as A Level Biology, Chemistry or Physics or BTEC Applied Science
