Year 8 Options Evening, POSTPONED to Thursday 7th February 5-7pm

In view of the forecast of snow which may begin as early as 6pm tonight we will postpone Options Evening for a week and hold it 5pm-7pm next Thursday 7th February.

The decision that your child is about to make is crucial, since it will determine their course of study for their GCSE and Vocational courses over the next three years. This will be an important opportunity for you and your child to get some advice that will help to guide their choices in order to ensure that they choose the courses that will suit them best.

On this evening, there will be a brief presentation in the main hall at 5pm and again at 6pm (if required), you will also be able to speak with subject leaders about the demands and content of their GCSE and Vocational courses. There will be the opportunity to consult with a careers advisor and take part in a future career paths computer programme throughout the evening. Mr Curran, the options and pathways co-ordinator will be available to assist with the use of this.

Finally, if you are attending the Parents Evening, Thursday 24th January, you are more than welcome to ask myself and any member of staff, questions regarding GCSE/Vocational options.

We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused by this change, but I would not want you or the school staff to experience difficulties with adverse conditions.
