Year 11 GCSE Results Day, Thursday 20th August 2020

Year 11 students collecting their GCSE Results.

Great news following a very difficult year

Students and staff were celebrating their GCSE results at ICC today. Following a very difficult time for this year group, whose last few months of school were lost and their exams cancelled, it is good to have at least one of the ‘rites of passage’  - results day today.

After much anxiety and confusion over results in the last week we have welcomed the government’s decision to award these results on the basis of Centre Assessed Grades.

Whilst I do not intend to share students outcomes in detail, it would be wrong not to celebrate the results for Adam Moali who scored seven grade 9s and three grade 8s.

We very much look forward to welcoming the majority of this year group back to school in the sixth form following their success.

I would very much like to thank Year 11 for their patience and hard work and thank all our dedicated team of staff for the immense support they have given them this year and over the last five years.
