Bridging Work

Year 12 – Bridging Work

Students are required to complete bridging work for their chosen subjects in preparation for starting Year 12.

The bridging work is discussed at students ‘Choice Confirmation’ interview in June. It is to be submitted to their subject teacher in the first Year 12 lesson.

The purpose of bridging work is to:

  • Prepare students for key subject content
  • Induct student into critical Key Stage 5 study skills
  • Provide a realistic taster of subject content at Key Stage 5

The bridging work will form part of the subject induction period and baseline assessment students experience in the first 3 weeks of Year 12.
