Entry Requirement: 

This qualification is for students who have not yet achieved a grade 4 in both GCSE English Language or GCSE Literature. It can only be taken as part of the Level 3 programme, therefore a total of five GCSE grades from other subjects are required.

Course Overview: 

GCSE English Language is designed to further improve and enhance personal skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. This qualification is for anyone who has not yet achieved GCSE English at grade 4. GCSE English Language will prepare learners to make informed decisions about further learning opportunities and career choices and to use language to participate effectively in society and employment.

English Language GCSE helps to develop the analytical and critical skills necessary for a wide range of further study. It can be used in combination with a wide range of other subjects.

The method of delivery will utilise Blended Learning. Students will be expected to access resources or online support independently.
