Course Overview:
Functional Skills English is designed to further improve and enhance personal skills in reading, writing, speaking and listening. It should allow progress from grade 2 or below in GCSE up to a full level 2 qualification. This qualification is for anyone who has not yet achieved GCSE English at grade 3.
Functional skills English helps to develop the language skills necessary for a wide range of further study. It can be used in combination with a wide range of other subjects. A pass grade at Level is accepted by many institutions as the equivalent of a grade 4 in English GCSE Language.
