General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR

On May 25th the General Data Protection Regulation will take affect across the EU. The GDPR is a piece of EU-wide legislation which will determine how people’s personal data is processed and kept safe, and the legal rights individuals have in relation to their own data. Here at ICC, we already highly value and protect all of our student, parents and staff data and will continue to do so in the presence of GDPR and as an extension of our safeguarding procedures.

As part of our review we will be changing our communication platform from ParentMail to My Ed app from September 2018. Information regarding this will be sent shortly.

We have updated a number of our policies to ensure we are compliant with the new regulations and ask that you read the attached policies.

As an added security measure, we may need to ask for additional information relating to you before discussing any student details. This could be in the form of a middle or maiden name, or date of birth that we have on record to reassure ourselves of your identification. Please do not take offence if this happens – this is to add an additional level of assurance and we are simply safeguarding the data we share.

We thank you for your continued support and are happy to answer any further questions you may have. We encourage you to check regularly for updated documentation.
