Entry Requirements: 

Grade 4 in GCSE English Language and English Literature
Grade 4 in GCSE Drama or
Level 2 Pass in BTEC Dance

Course Overview: 

The Extended Certificate is for learners who are interested in learning about the performing arts sector alongside other fields of study, with a view to progressing to a wide range of higher education courses, performing arts or otherwise. Performing arts is an exciting and dynamic subject that encourages you to develop physical and technical skills whilst exploring your creativity and embedding analysis throughout.

Exam Information: 

Duration: 2 years
Exam Board: Pearson                        

4 units, of which 3 are mandatory and 2 are external. Mandatory content (83%). External assessment (58%)

Qualification Gained: 

BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Performing Arts equivalent to the size of one A Level.
