Course Outline

Physical activity is a vital part of a healthy lifestyle. It not only helps students to keep fit, it also develops other aspects such as co-ordination and team working skills.

The core PE programme gives students a broad range of sporting opportunities and experiences, to build confidence. Students don’t only develop their physical self in these sessions, but they also learn about the social, emotional and physical health benefits of sport and activity.

Students will be on a carousel of activities over short 6-9 week blocks. This includes activities that they are familiar with, to develop and deepen their skills in a comfortable environment, but also experience of different activities that they have not tried before such as leadership and fitness, to broaden their knowledge to prepare for future education and to establish healthy exercise habits for life.
